Well, fall has just flown by, hasn’t it?? Here we are at the week of Thanksgiving. I want to remind those in the State College area that the fresh turkeys from Penn State will be sold starting Monday at noon. Check out the PSU Poultry Science Club here for all the details.
If you have not put together your Thanksgiving menu, here are a few suggestions:
Roasted Beet Salad with Walnut Dressing and Cheese Crisps. I served this last year and it was a great, light salad to start with before all those carbs!!
Speaking of carbs…..to make your Thanksgiving day a bit more restful, find recipes that you can make ahead of time.
Here is a wonderful mashed potato dish that can be made and put in the refrigerator or the freezer (this one is from a Costco recipe book I got last year). There are many other recipes for make-ahead mashed potatoes on the web. Just Google it!
